On Tom Merton

One of the books on my Lenten Bookshelf is A Book of Hours, a lovely collection edited by Kathleen Deignan of Merton’s writings. I have, for a long time, been fascinated by the concept of Keeping the Hours, of bringing oneself back and back and back to the Centre.

When I began the podcast entitled ‘The Monk who Dared’ I had no idea that it was about Merton. Happy surprise! This podcast episode, from one of my favourite interviewers, Rachel Kohn of Australia’s Radio National, was most enjoyable. [The programme blurb is here.]
